Green Room Looking Toward the Interior of the White House

This 1999 color photograph depicts the Green Room of the White House as it appeared during the administration of President Bill Clinton. Paintings displayed on the wall include George Caleb Bingham's 1847 painting Lighter Relieving a Steamboat Aground, Gilbert Stuart's circa 1821-1826 portrait of First Lady Louisa Adams, George Henry Durrie's 1858 Farmyard in Winter, and David Martin's 1767 portrait of Benjamin Franklin.
